I've got sc45 projects going through multiple SC versions currently.  Are there precautions I need to take or things to be aware of?  Is it ok to make edits to a project with previous versions of SE?

I guess I need to be aware of "running" projects that use features not available in an earlier runtime, but I'm not sure if I need to keep things quite separate while testing things out.

thanks,
Greg

None I’m aware of.

AFAIK yes.

All versions of SC4.x should be able to safely open and display (albeit perhaps incompletely) any project irrespective of what other 4.x versions have touched it, though newer features won’t display.

If you use an older version to edit and save an object with newer unsupported properties, in some cases that information may be lost.

I’ve done this here pretty regularly going back to 4.6 without incident, but not further. To be fair FWICT it isn’t something people often do, so YMMV…
