Eyyyyy it's my 2-year anniversary! Wow I played on this server since 8th grade O.o

It's been a fun 2 years of SHFT with ups and downs, but now I feel as if I'm just not having fun anymore.

As of today, December 4th 2014, exactly 2 years after I joined, December 4th, 2012, I am quitting Super Happy Fun Time.

Let's go to the beginning, shall we? :)

I was brought here December 4th, 2012 by Wafflemaster173 the day after he joined (his 2-year was yesterday lol) and we had started surviving and prospering with our houses out in the wild. We had a lot of fun, from collecting resources to me even trying to build redstone to hide my base. We had collected our resources and money the only way we knew how, old-fashioned style. We grew things, mined things, and relied on BOSE Economy for money. One day, I was griefed. It was sad and I feel the pain of other players who had been griefed, but at the time, there was chest and door locking, so I didn't lose and items and just got my house destroyed. I cried out to DoingItWell, and he provided to me something I am still thankful for to this day, a free plot. I didn't know what plots were at the time, and I was overjoyed. I spent days renovating it to make it somewhat habitable, and me and Waffle both lived there for a good amount of time (plot Smile9).

It was then when I started really making money. I started farming nether wart and opened a huge shop with a /warp (/fun warp didn't exist) which is when I met thegoaliekid. He was one of the main reasons I'm even somewhat popular on this server, as he kick-started everything. He was my best costumer at my shop, and we'd both have a blast pvping together. I bought him silver and myself silver, and we were both extremely happy with the $5 investment.

Eventually I started building automatic farms and became richer and richer. I was at about 750k when ShamedSoul left forever, and gave me 2.8 million as he left. I was overjoyed, and gifted with the achievement millionaire. I invested some of this money in plots, but mostly in pvp.

Pvp was my passion in Minecraft. It's all I did at the time. Even today most minigames I play are pvp related. I was considered to be a "good" pvper, and I was up on the pvp wall when it existed.

Eventually me and goalie both got platinum, and it took off from there. We became dominant together in pvp, and we were having a blast with it. I met many new friends during this time period, and I was happy to actually have friends.

This continued for a good amount of time until goalie got mod. He was promoted after Owen gave his promotion to goalie, and goalie had been hoping for mod for ages. Unfortunately, he was seen as unfit for staff, and was demoted 3 days later. He quit the server, and gave me most of his stuff. I still talk to him on occasion over Skype, but mostly I was on my own.

I started playing with some friends but didn't really belong to any sort of group of sorts on the server. I was promoted to moderator in August of 2013 after writing a book that Doing took to heart. I was overjoyed at this opportunity. I stayed mod for about a month, and got demoted eventually.

I didn't really let it get to me since I was the type of person who'd enjoy playing no matter what, but eventually, I'd done everything a normal player could do. I wrote another book, gave it to Doing, and logged off so I could avoid an awkward conversation. When I came back, I was mod again.

I eventually worked my way up to Head Moderator, where I was demoted about 2 months later for a tban that was too long. I didn't let it get to me again, and kept playing.

Then came a roller-coaster of being staff and not staff. I'd be guardian, then mod, then guard again, then archangel, you really never knew. Eventually I stuck at mod, and just started enjoying myself while doing my job instead of being so worried.

Prior to this I had become close friends with ComputerNinja613, a pretty infamous player. He got to Head Admin, and was overall a cool person to hang out with and talk to. I still text him and talk to him and we even plan on meeting in real life at some point.

Eventually, I became friends with lauragusky after her promotion to Guardian. I had no idea who she was until she was promoted. We began talking, and became close friends. We still text in a group chat and Skype a lot.

Laura led me into being friends with Sharp and Jess, people who I'd known but not really had been in connections with. I text Sharp in a group chat and Skype with Jess and Sharp very often.

After coming this far, it stopped being fun. I tried building things, parkouring everything, and doing anything to keep busy, but I usually found myself running on chests doing nothing but do my job as a moderator (or op at one point). It simply isn't fun anymore. So, for this reason, I planned to quit on my 2-year anniversary, and here we are.

I'd like to thank all the friends I've met along the way, mostly Ninja, Black, Sharp, Jess, Laura, Maddox, Clappy, Goalie, and Paige. I'd like to thank Doing for actually creating the server, and everyone for playing it. I know ShamedSoul doesn't read here or play anymore, but I'd like to thank him. I'd like to thank Ninja and Doing for giving me staff experience I can take with me to other servers (applying for Hypixel soon).

I'll still post on the forums, you just won't see me online for a long time. My stuff will not be given away, as they have memories and important things on them. Thanks for everyone's support. Bye bye bbys :)

Omi. I couldn't be more upset to hear you leave. I couldn't blame you though. First off most of you may not know this, but in June, Jb1508 was promoted to guardian, an omi said "#PandaForGuardian" minutes later I was promoted. Omi I couldn't thank you more for saying that and thank you for getting me where I am today. Without you I wouldn't be staff. All I can say, is thank you. I hope to talk with you soon. Happy 2 Years on SHFT

Omi, so sad to see you go. it has been a wonderful time seeing you grow over the past year or so, and I can safely say you have turned into a well respected peer. Don't go off and do anything stupid now!

Still looking forward to our meetup, soon, soon. Maybe we can even get Laura to tag along! Internet friends can be a great asset to any persons life.

To any others that read this thread, do not quit because Omi is, or any other player you enjoy playing with. You must stay along and keep things alive and prosperous! Staying back will continue to keep future players coming and will help keep the late stories of Super Happy alive. 

I posted my 'I Quit' message not to long ago, and have joined a few times since. Just because we technically quit does not mean we are gone forever. It just means we need a break. Ask some of your friends for their email address, then you can talk to them even when they no longer play the game. As always, I can be contacted at Computer...@gmail.com and love to strike a conversation. I get emails somewhat frequently from old old players of the Super Happy from my original join date. Plus the always involved text group the ShArPxXxShOt, lauragusky, NewOmicron and myself have. It is always a joy and I would be glad to talk with you too. Just give me a shout.

On the other hand, I do have a full time job and also attend Uni. My time is somewhat limited. I do make it a part of my week to hop on for a little bit, even though its minechat. Maybe you'll catch me on. Sometimes I give out money! And I know all you savages love a good pay day. 

I do not have much more to say so I shall leave on this...

Go off, and have fun. You do not have to dedicate your life to Minecraft or playing on a certain server. Go out to the world and see what you can find.
