How to use these "Groups"

This site - "The Village Well" (sunwestwomensministry) is like a lobby
when you walk into a building. There's a notice board for general
announcements at "What's Happening" and a central place to meet and
greet, post prayer requests, etc. through "Discussions".

When you join as a member, you will then be part of an email group
that can get announcements and notices right away to your own inbox,
as well as able to post notices and have them appear on this page,
plus get sent out to everyone else who is a member. Try it out, you
can join anytime and you can 'unsubscribe' anytime. Invite your
friends!

Messages and posts will be moderated to avoid spam so there may be a
slight delay between the time you post and when you see it on the
site.

After you walk into the lobby you will have the option of different
activities that are happening at SunWest Christian Fellowship. Things
like Women's Breakfast, Bible Studies, Social Events, Women's Retreat,
etc. These different 'meeting rooms' will be accessed through the
"What's Happening" Link on the sidebar menu. Some of these activities
may require another separate online community like "Ladie's Bible
Break" to give a little more 'privacy' and keep our mailboxes from
being filled with stuff we are not involved in.

As much as possible, we can create new smaller communities (rooms) off
of this one, so you can sign up for the things you want to hear about,
and leave the rest.

Example: Someone wants to organize a Women's Retreat. They post a
notice in 'Discussions' looking for other women who would like to be
involved, and start a page in 'What's Happening' to post details as
they become available, with a link to a new group called "Retreat
Planning Committee". Whoever would like to be involved in this would
apply for membership and receive all communications about this event
during the planning process.
