Currently Reading: Personally reading The seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo! I've put this off for a while and I dunno why as i'm really enjoying it! and for Uni I'm currently reading about the reformation!

Working on: For uni I'm working on an assignment about the print revolution. For the simblr I'm slowly working on the next couple of posts, I just need to take screenshots and edit them and recolour a few objects, loads to do and hardly anytime to do it!

I just love all the graphics you make for your story. They look exactly right, if that makes sense. You've got such a good eye for style and composition! If you don't mind, what's your process for putting together something like the campaign posters in the post announcing the presidential election candidates?

Once I have the theme finalised I then made their posters using one on CANVA pro as a base and then edited them for each party in their party colours. The SWP and Simertarian posters are in the actual colours above BUT Cronin's is done in the blue of the Presidency and not the party - just to get home the point that he IS the President. I then chose poses that made Cronin look more "proud" and Hatfield more cold/distance/aloof and Stokes from the SWP she is posed to hopefully look warm and inviting but confident.

The three posters are done to look almost unified, but slightly different. I also added the White House to Stokes poster to make the point that she is fighting for the White House and I added the Capitol building into the background of Hatfield's as he believes it to be a temple for democracy.

I'm really and I mean REALLY debating doing a spinoff that picks up with Madelne in her mid 50s. I dunno if anyone would be interested in that, but who knows... maybe one day she will get her story told. ???

The newly elected Washington State Labor Council president said her grandfather and mother experienced lifetime journeys from low-paying, no-benefits jobs to union-represented jobs that offered better life conditions.

Sims, 48, said she remembers her mom, Sherrie Courtier, working multiple odd jobs while unhoused, living off government welfare programs and suffering flu and cold bouts without sick leave. But in the late 1980s, when her mom found a job at Western State Hospital, represented by the Washington Federation of State Employees, she was able to have benefits for the first time in her life and eventually retire, Sims said.

Sims went up the ranks as political and strategic campaign director in 2017 at WSLC, then from 2019 to 2022 served as secretary-treasurer, a second-in-command position working with then-President Larry Brown.

For the first time in WSLC history, with Brown and Sims in charge, they introduced programs aimed at racial equity. In 2020, WSLC was the first AFL-CIO state federation to dedicate a position to racial and gender justice, Sims said.

When it came to running for the presidential seat, Sims chose Cherika Carter, the former political and strategic campaigns director, to run with her for the secretary-treasurer job. Originally from the Midwest, Carter, who is Black, joined the WSLC in 2018 after being recruited by Sims.

Cliff Sims, a former aide to President Donald Trump, who sued the president after writing a brutal tell-all book about his time in the Trump White House called \"Team of Vipers\", is back on the Trump team, serving an important role overseeing speechwriting for the upcoming Republican National Convention.

The publication early last year of \"Team of Vipers,\" which became a bestseller and portrayed the Trump White House as a nest of infighting, backstabbing and intrigue, set off a series of harsh attacks from the president and his allies, who accused Sims of violating a non-disclosure agreement. In response, Sims actually sued the president, accusing him of attempting to violate his first amendment rights.

Sims brings more than 25 years of diversity of thought, experience, and strong dedication to public service, including a wide-ranging background in prior senior leadership roles with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Secret Service. He is a former senior vice president at Booz Allen Hamilton, where he led the Justice, Homeland Security, and Transportation sector. He also led the enterprise Business Management Office within the Office of the Chief Information Officer, overseeing enterprise strategies for governance of IT and cyber investments across DHS. Before joining DHS, Sims was a special advisor to the deputy associate director of the Secret Service, leading architecture and technology transformation.

In 2023, Sims began a three-year term on the Maryland Aviation Commission. Sims serves on the WashingtonExec National Security Council and the Homeland Security and Defense Business Council.
