Dear JIM or QuickBooks User,
You are receiving this email because we are updating the Intuit Terms of Service (ToS), which govern your use of Intuit products and services, including Intuit Merchant Payment Services. Updates to the ToS will be effective as of November 4, 2022.
Our ToS will be updated to clarify that we may, from time to time, make third party providers (TPPs) available through Intuit Merchant Payment Services. To facilitate TPP services, we may share information about you and your business with such TPPs. We do this to make these TPP services available to you, for whenever you choose to use their services as part of Intuit Merchant Payment Services – and, in doing so, help to make our services as efficient and helpful to you as possible. The updates further clarify that a TPP’s use and protection of your information is subject to their privacy policy, and that you may be required to agree to additional terms and conditions with the TPP when you choose to use their services.
Some TPPs like PayPal require information about you (such as business name, user ID, legal owner and date of birth) when you sign up for Intuit Merchant Payment Services in order to provide their services in connection with Intuit Merchant Payment Services. You authorize us to share such required information with these TPPs when you sign up for Intuit Merchant Payment Services. To understand how PayPal will use and protect your data, view PayPal’s terms of service here.
If you continue to use Intuit Merchant Payment Services after November 4, 2022, you are agreeing to these updates and your use will be subject to the updated ToS. If you do not agree, you can discontinue use of Intuit Merchant Payment Services and close your Intuit QuickBooks Payments account by following instructions here.
Thank you for using Intuit QuickBooks Payments. |
