I found here _hotspot_wifi_cant_disable_low_data_mode_it/ that low data mode is also a setting that can be found in Wi-Fi. Go to Settings / Wi-Fi / then click the info symbol next to your Wi-Fi connection. Scroll down and you will see Low Data Mode. For me, it turned out that this was ON and causing updates to pause until I manually forced the update.
Today, I switched my new iphone15 pro to portrait mode and started to change the depth of field. It froze. Now every time I open portrait mode, it freezes. I can switch to regular mode, but it will be a gray screen and I have to force close the camera app. When reopened, the regular camera will work, but portrait mode freezes every time. I have restarted 6 times, including force restart, and nothing changes.
Same. Brand new iPhone 15 pro and I can take one picture in portrait mode and then try to take a second one and it just spins. So frustrating. I just updated to 17.1.2. It did not solve it. Any ideas what to do?
Hi I have a similar issue the first picture goes through and the second picture the button to click keeps spooling and it gets hung and then I need to exit the camera app and come back into it to take another picture.
"iphone15 portrait mode freeze: Today, I switched my new iphone15 pro to portrait mode and started to change the depth of field. It froze. Now every time I open portrait mode, it freezes. [...]It had worked fine until today. I have iOS 17.0.3"
Overeating iPhone and draining iPhone battery is a well-known issue. Power is a big concern for iPhone series compatible with iOS 17. Question is: "Just how many people have actually reported this to Apple?" So, this overheating may be making this occur.
Do your Part: Provide Apple with feedback on this, letting them know about this issue. Apple may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what is occurring, and what bug fixes to include in updates to come. Apple will know nothing of this, if you don't report it to them.
Rick - your post just sounds like an ad for this software. If you already have a backup, why wouldn't you just do a regular restore via iTunes? I'm stuck in this state, but don't have a backup. Is there a way to recover without losing what is on my phone?
I had to unplug my phone from the computer, hold the power and home key to reset it, then plug it back in and restore it. It took two atempts before it let itunes restore the phone. It all began after the automatic reboot with the iOS6 update.
For me, what fixed it was separately downloading (or torrenting, much faster) the firmware outside of itunes ( ), and "shift+clicking" the Restore button and browsing to the downloaded firmware. My device was iphone 4 GSM. This got my out of the stuck in Recovery Mode loop.
With TinyUmbrella running, when you connect your iPhone, the "Exit Recovery" button will be available. I simply clicked that. It rebooted my iPhone, and I now have OS 6 working and all my apps and data stil exist.
I do not know what IOS you are running on your computer, but Apple told me my sons macbook which is running mac os 10 is unable to run the latest iTunes thus it can't sync with iPhone IOS6. There is a work around but you have to take your computer to an apple store. If you are able to run the latest itunes (10.7.0.21) it won't run ios6. Son tried to run the ios6.1 update via itunes so now his iphone 4 is stuck in recovery mode. Looks like I will be making a trip to the apple store in the morning.
"How to turn off burst mode". I'm using an iPhone 15 pro max. When using timer in 'photo' mode, it produces bursts of 3 and 10 photos in 3sec and 10sec modes respectively. Two ways to avoid the 'bursts'. 1. turn on 'live' mode - you can use 'photo' mode and timer and you won't get bursts. 2. Switch from 'photo' to 'portrait' - use timer, and no bursts!
You can turn off live photo, in iphone settings scroll down to camera, then go to preserve settings, then go to live photos and turn this on. Then open the camera app and check the live icon at the top right, make sure it's turned off. Now close the app and open it again, you will now see that live photo is turned off. Just remember next time you use live photo that once you're done remember to click the icon again to turn it off or else it will be back on next time you open it. But maybe you already know all this? I agree it would be nice if it was off by default, or if it would turn off once the app was restarted, just like it does when you make changes to exposure and night mode.
I dont understand your post, first you say there is no direct way to turn off burst mode when using timer, then you say tap the timer icon and choose 3s or 10s, but that is exactly what is making the phone use burst mode when you do that. There is no workaround to avoid burst mode when taking photos with the timer, sadly.
After replacing my screen I plugged it into my computer and it only turned on to show me the recovery mode and nothing else. it does turn on and off even though I cant see anything on the screen apart from the connect to computer logo. ive tried to put it into DFU mode but it keeps just going back to the restore or recovery screen. I even purchased a 3rd party software that said it will repair so many iso issues, but it still won't come out of recovery mode and will not go into DFU MODE , so im totally baffled. Does anyone know what I should do please , im so frustrated this phone going under the hammer if it doesn't respond to something soon .
This might seem obvious, but check that the ringer switch (above the volume up/down buttons on the left side) is not showing red, which indicates silent mode. If it is showing red flip it up...silent mode is now off. Also check that Do Not Disturb is not on...go to Settings > Do Not Disturb.
Under Settings > Sounds & Haptik make sure the slider for ringer volume is all the way over to the right. Turn off "Change with buttons"...this means that the side volume up/down buttons have no effect on the ringer volume!
So recently I was unable to remember my passcode on my iphone 7. I havent synced my phone into a computer so my only option is to set the phone to recovery mode. However once I connect my phone to itunes and attempt to hold the power down button and the volume down button it proceeds to dial the emergency sos. This only happens when I attempt to hold down the power button and volume down button. What is it that im doing wrong?
For recovery mode on the iPhone 7, it's the Power button (right side) and Volume down (left side), keep hold both at the same time, until the iTunes logo comes up. With it going to SOS mode kind of sounds like defaults were changed (probably Accessibility). If you still can't get it to to go and you use iCloud and Find my iPhone. Go to the website, and sign-in with your Apple ID and click on your phone, as long as it doesn't say Offline, click it and hit Erase then hit remove from account. This should be instant as long as your iPhone has a working signal (Wifi or Cellular)
If that still doesn't work, turn your phone off completely with just the power button, and then after it's off, hold down just the Volume down button, as you plug it into your computer with iTunes open, let go of Volume down when you see the iTunes logo on your phone screen. If neither of those 3 options work, you may want to take it on in for service. Usually to trigger SOS on the iPhone 7, you have to hit the power button 5 times back to back.
iPhone 11 Pro stuck in silent mode as the switch is defective. Yes I have tried all the simple fixes my settings are all correct. I would like to set my phone to bypass the silent mode. I would rather have the sound on continuously. Thank you in advance
I recently got a iPhone 15pro max and cannot figure out how to get the standby mode to display the clock all night long. At some point last night I tried turning off all focus modes (do not disturb and sleep) and that might have done it. However if the focus modes aren't on what is going to prevent phone calls, notifications, and texts in the middle of the night. Not to mention my Apple Watch then lights up every time I move my wrist. What am I missing? Would be nice to see the clock without having to touch or move.
