Brightness change in SDO data at the start of 2024?

I'm doing some processing on the SDO imagery of the flare this past New Years Eve.  I'm doing PSF and degradation correction and right at the change of the year, the images became visibly brighter.

My current leading hypothesis is the table at JSOC used by aia.calibrate.degradation has not been updated for 2024.  But I'm open to other suggestions.
