Hope there is a video. I have to work. I will work to web post it if so. It will be interesting how the Democratic party incumbents will respond publicly on the stadium. Being that the stadium has Sunnyvale's own Larry Stone on Mercury News front page in headlines advocating hard for the stadium. Do the incumbents shaft Sunnyvale residents again just before the election or shaft Larry Stone?

Perhaps the rumored Mary Black hole will swallow up the council incumbents that pushed so hard for the Moffett Towers developer, rather than do it correctly the first time. They turned a death ear rather than force Moffett Towers traffic to be restricted and funneled away from residential areas to the freeways where non Sunnyvale commutter traffic belongs. The incumbents talked wonderful things for the future, but the ratified that no mitigation will be needed in the EIR for those along Mary.

For your information - the Mary Black hole and why one is rumored there:

Per the EIR, 7,000 cars out of 30k daily traffic volume has to somehow be absorbed in the area between Central and Maude on Mary. (A black hole is the only physical possiblity for this as descibed and the Council certified). Between Central and Maude there is no way in or out but Mary and the area is fully built up. It is directly under the flight path of Moffett Field, so buildings or parking cannot be expaned in the area. Council blessed this convenient fiction, (which if it was physically possible, creates the illusion that additional traffic from the Mary Bridge for Moffett Towers will not cross Central expressway into residential Sunnyvale on Mary) Its all about money and justifying the bridge the Developer needed for the pot of money that was available.. As of the date of EIR decision by council, evening travel from the proposed Mary Bridge site down Mary to Fremont Ave at Hwy 85 was 4 minutes faster (30% faster) than taking the freeways (237 and 85). In Fact Council, not forcing traffic mitigation as part of the Mary Bridge EIR, voted to make Mary a freeway bypass. (Which it will become Sunnyvale only residential neighborhood freeway bypass the day it opens!!!!). It will be such till we taxpayers cough up more money to fix the mess they created by their cheapskate laziness. The incumbents on Council took the old adage, let the next guy fix my mess.

Where is the responsiblity, accountablity?. Certainly not in those running for reelection.

Now, Santa Clara is about to do the same shaft to Sunnyvale (and its business tech core), what our Council did for Mary Avenue residents, by the very same EIR wink wink nod nod trickery.

All I can say, There is a GOD!
