The news so far in this sight is more on Palo Alto and San Jose,
(though amusingl that "Mayor Anthony Spitaleri.. is hopeful this bodes well for Sunnyvale's (Albatross) Town Center project [Spin-ta-liar-i's] "White Albatross" thats funny. ( Per city releases in 2006 was to be complete and pedistrain friendly in 2007,08,09,now 2012?, - just try to walk from the garage without getting run over into Macy's, Walking seems an largely ignored afterthought so far ) And lets not forget to Kiss More-land the Vice Mayor goodby.

Perhaps Sunnyvale's squeky clean spin doctor manufactured repuation could be served a dose of reality check to the benefit of its citizens if we all addded to and shared its political blog.

Suggest topics this year read like fantasy like National Enquirer and not sad reality in Sunnyvale under the present council

Large approved industrial to residential Developement by Lawrence Expressway to exceed anticipated residents exposure limits to hazardous gases while they sleep.

Council pushes for isolated automall to replace historic blue cube that nobody wants. Perhasp if they hang the cars on the side of the former blue cube that might be a a good advertizing gimmic.

Medical clinic expansion plan may worsen area residents health.

Council affers large bonus to senior staff, raises to police (needed to keep control staff of Sunnyvale enemployment center that council voted to layoff)

Sunnyvale Police still getting raises, even being the highest paid in nation and economy. Almost double national averages and by council vote 11% higher than the higher paid police in the bay area. It apparently does not hurt to have a union boss as Mayor?

Mayor big campaign spending way out of league for a low paying council seat and more than tripple anyone previously. Last Election reported over $100k. As of this writing no one wants to go against someone with the money bags large as Jimmy Hoffa's.

Kiss More land in Mary EIR hearing makes a big long disertaion that residents do not want less lanes of traffic on Mary, then proposes adding bike lanes for Mary. Guess we have to widen Mary.

Kiss More land conducted his personal traffic study of Hwy 85 vs taking Mary and had them added to the EIR study, Seems the study had one flaw, it looked at only traffic in the morning and not in the evening when 85 is gridlocked. In the evening, Mary as of the time of the study takes 4 minutes less to travel as a bypass to HWY 85. For a scientist, this is not very scientific.

I am sure some others have other amusing insightful humor to add.
