Loving, holistic education for your child

Escuela Pachamama is a Spanish-immersion, Waldorf-inspired Preschool
program in
the Glen Park area of San Francisco.

We are a play-based program with a gently structured rhythm in a warm,
nurturing
home. Our pre-school is unique because it creatively combines the
holistic
philosophies and ideals of Waldorf Education with exposure to the rich
culture
of Latin America in a Spanish immersion setting.

Our teacher's home is an atmosphere full of love, color and warmth.
Our day at
Pachamama is filled with songs, movement, rhymes and stories; art,
puppetry,
gardening and celebration of the seasons. Children at Pachamama have
daily
interactions with the natural world through hikes, visits to nearby
parks, and
field trips to Glen Canyon and Mount Davidson. We also have an outdoor
space
with a garden.

What Families Say About Pachamama
"I have nothing but praise for the school and its teacher, Vanessa,
and am very
excited and happy that our daughter is a part of it. She is able to
express
herself in many different ways, either through singing, dancing, art,
or play,
all with gentle encouragement from Vanessa. Vanessa is an energetic
and creative
teacher who truly cares for the children and their development. She is
one of
those rare people with an abundance of patience, a skill for
nonviolent
communication, and an open heart. It seems to me that teaching is not
just a job
for her, but a passion, something she truly loves to do. And it
shows."
–Brian

"Escuela Pachamama has proven to be a warm loving environment and my
son is
really blossoming. He loves coming to school and tells me all about
his friends
there. I see his abilities to socialize outside of school improving
and I feel
it has a lot to do with his school experience with the other children.
He is
also interested in learning Spanish for the first time. He was in a
Spanish
speaking day care before this but he did not like using Spanish. From
my
perspective as a single parent, it is wonderful to be involved in such
a great
community of parents and families."
–Karen

"We LOVE Escuela Pachamama!!! My daughter has learned and grown
tremendously
over the time that she has attended. I am amazed and extremely proud
to see how
kind, generous and eager she has become. She enjoys speaking Spanish
at home
now, before
she wouldn't. She is curious to learn new words in Spanish and wants
to know
what they
mean." - Jennifer
