Home Preparedness in Earthquake Country, presented by Dr. Matthew
Springer
Are you like so many of us parents who live in the earthquake-prone
Bay Area: always meaning to get your earthquake preparedness kit put
together but too busy to see it through? Or maybe you’re the organized
type, but you are so overwhelmed with the sheer number of supplies
you’ll need that you don’t even know where to start? Or could you be
that rare person who actually has all the supplies but can’t seem to
gather them all together and finish up?
Come to a FREE presentation by Dr. Matthew Springer, a UCSF
cardiologist with a special interest in earthquake preparation: Home
Preparedness in Earthquake Country. Matt offers an engaging, relaxed
presentation with specific recommendations organized into various
levels of urgency. He also gives recommendations for products he
thinks are worthwhile and offers links so you can find them yourself.
At the culmination of this event, you will feel this is something you
can get finished.
But one of the best things about this presentation is that afterward,
you can group up with two or three other people/families to ensure
that you complete your emergency preparedness kit. Use your group to
hold one another accountable, to order or purchase products in bulk to
reduce shipping fees and shopping trips, and/or to keep each other
company or watch one another’s children while you make the
modifications and gather supplies.
