Lucia:
Smells are a separate subject, so I'm taking the liberty to repost
your concern. Report such smells here: 360-428-1617
Northwest Clean Air Agency Lots of info at their site here:

Also,  I am smelling an odd smell this afternoon.  Is anyone else
noticing this?  I wonder if it is from the wood plant. Who would I
report this too?

Theresa, Lucian, and others discusing "smells":
It would be helpful to all if you could observe the formality of
posting comments to the subject thread they belong in. That makes it
easier for folks to follow the discussions. I have taken the libetry
of re-posting your response in the proper thread.

"Hi Lucia...
I have smelled a smell recently myself and called the NWCleanAir and
there was a follow-up on it but they did not detect anything when they
showed up but it smelled to me like pain fumes or something of that
nature. I have recently smelled it again but cannot decide where it
comes from...I live on Virginia between ellis and franklin. My
suggestion if anyone smells this odor please call NWC ASAP. Thanks!

Have a great Day! Theresa"

Others in our neighborhood and Roosevelt have detected a couple of
distinct but common industrial type smells recently. The "burnt toast
or waffle" smell we are certain is the new carrier they are using at
Brooks, which though far less offensive than the odor of their
previous carrier chemical (the one that resulted in action by NW Clean
Air Agency a couple of years ago), certainly indicates that their
chemical treatment is not always properly contained to the
manufacturer's premises. The other odor is intermittent and is
definitely coming from the spraying of paints and preservatives by
various small spray booth operations in the industrial areas in our
neighborhood and the general industrial area. The thing to do is
immediately report when you smell and try to locate the source if
possible. Nothing can be done until there are a number of documented
cases on a fairly consistent basis. Maybe enter the phone number in
your cell phone quick dial list!

Hi,

Yes, that is why I needed the reminder of who to call. I will report it and next time I will do it promptly. Thank you for the info on the NW Clean Air Agency and clarification about posting threads.
