restricted functions

Hi,

My students ask exactly which functions are banned to use. Can we get
such a list?

Tell them:

Just read data from stdin, process data, and write results to stdout. All the functions involve system calls are banned. Libc functions, such as fabs(), strcat() and memset() which do not call system calls are safe to use.
