Somy question is, how I can get all these files save to import them later back in Lightroom after installing it new? Or do I have not to worry since they're already stored in another path than the software (x64) files?

First, you need backups. Actually, the need for backups has nothing to do with this planned WIndows reset, you should be making regular and automated backups of all of your photos and your catalog file(s). If you haven't been doing this, NOW is the time to start.

Once you re-install Windows, you install Lightroom, you copy the backup of your catalog file to its original location, and then launch Lightroom. If the photos are in the exact same place as before, then you are done. But whatever you do, DO NOT IMPORT the photos. This is so important I'm going to say it two more times.

Perhaps you should talk to some Windows guru about re-installing Windows. There are different types of re-installation, some which wipe out all of your data, and some which do not wipe out all of your data. Your plan to re-install Windows needs to be consistent in all aspects with your plan to recover Lightroom, there are details you need to be aware of that are beyond the scope of this forum.

And oh yeah, just in case I didn't mention it, you need to make backups of everything (catalog and photos, and all other important non-Lightroom documents) before you start. This is so unbelievably important that if you proceed without proper backups, then I will have no sympathy for you if something goes wrong.

I recently encountered a tricky problem, and I hope that friends here can help me. I accidentally forgot the login password of my Windows 11 computer, and now I can't log into the system at all. I have tried several traditional methods to reset or recover Windows forgotten password, such as using security questions and reset disks, but none of them worked. I wonder if there is a good Windows 11 password reset or recovery tool USB that can help me solve this problem.

If you have a recommended tool or know an effective method, please let me know. I really need help in this regard, and hope to find a simple and safe tool to solve my login problem. Thank you very much for your help!

I once forgot my Windows 11 login password and was really anxious. Fortunately, I had set up a password hint before, and this little feature helped a lot in an emergency. On the login screen, when you enter the wrong password, the system will display the password hint you set before. It's like someone giving you a little hint at a critical moment! For me, the hint reminded me of my password and I was finally able to log back into my computer.

So, I now recommend that friends around me, if you set a password, make sure to make good use of this password hint feature. You can set a hint that only you can understand, so that even if you forget your password, this hint can help you remember it. However, remember to set a hint that is safe enough and don't reveal the password information too directly, so that people with ulterior motives don't take advantage of it. This little feature is simple but really useful, especially for those of us who occasionally forget!

If the password hint doesn't work, you might want to consider using a Windows 11 password reset or recovery USB tool to fix your login problem. These tools can be lifesavers when you completely forget your password.

There was one time when I really forgot my Windows 11 login password, and I was using an account associated with my Microsoft account. I remember being a bit panicked at that time, because I had a lot of important work files and personal data on my computer. Fortunately, Microsoft provides a very convenient way to solve this problem, which is to reset the password through their official website.

I visited the Microsoft account reset page, and the whole process was very straightforward and user-friendly. The website will guide you through several security verification steps, such as sending a verification code to your backup email or mobile phone. Once the verification is passed, you can set a new password. The whole process did not take much time and was simple and straightforward. This experience made me impressed with Microsoft's Windows 11 password reset/recovery tool USB because it not only helped me quickly restore account access, but also ensured the security of the entire process. If your account is also associated with a Microsoft account, this is definitely a method worth trying.

Let me tell you about my experience using safe mode to reset Windows 11 password. At that time, one of my computers at home had forgotten the password for some reason and could not log in. I remember searching the Internet for many methods and finally decided to try to solve this problem through safe mode because it was considered a valid option in the Windows 11 password recovery tool.

I restarted the computer and followed the steps to enter safe mode - pressing the F8 key multiple times during startup. Once in safe mode, Windows will start with the most basic settings, and it usually does not ask you to enter a password at this time. Fortunately, this computer was set up with an administrator account without a password, and I logged into the system through this account. Then I was able to go to the control panel and change the password of other accounts through "User Accounts". The whole process was easier than I expected, which was a big relief.

This experience taught me that even if you forget the password of your Windows account, as long as you can enter safe mode and access the administrator account, you have a chance to reset the password and restore access to the computer.

If you have a password reset disk, it can be a lifesaver! I once locked my own computer, the one running Windows 11, because I couldn't remember my password. Luckily, I had the foresight to create a password reset disk earlier. This thing is super useful in this situation and is a perfect example of a Windows 11 password reset tool USB.

After multiple unsuccessful attempts at the login screen, I was given the option to "reset password." I quickly pulled out the USB password reset disk I had created earlier and plugged it into my computer. Following the on-screen instructions, I successfully reset my password in a few steps.

The whole process took only a few minutes and was very straightforward. This made me realize how important it is to have a password reset disk ready in advance to easily restore access if you completely forget your password. This experience also reminded me that it is critical to regularly update security tools like this, just in case they are needed.

Using the command prompt to reset your password is definitely a good Windows 11 password recovery tool USB. Once, a friend of mine forgot his Windows 11 login password, and we tried several methods without success. Finally, we decided to use the command prompt to try to solve the problem.

First, we started the computer with the Windows installation disk, entered the repair option, and then opened the command prompt. In the command prompt, we used the net user command to reset the password. Specifically, we entered the following command: net user username new password. This method is really very direct and solved the problem almost immediately.

Replace "username" with the account name you want to reset the password for, and replace "new password" with the new password you want to set. For example, if the username is John and you want to reset the password to "123456", process enter.

If you need to use the Command Prompt to reset Windows 11 password, this can be a very straightforward and effective method, especially if you have administrator privileges. I once used this method to help a friend reset his computer password because he completely forgot his login information.

Step 1. First, you need a Windows 11 installation media. You can make one with a USB drive or use an existing Windows installation DVD. Insert it into your computer, restart your computer, and boot from the USB or DVD. Once you enter the installation interface, choose "Repair your computer" instead of installing Windows. Next, go to "Troubleshoot" > "Advanced options" > "Command Prompt".

Step 2. In the Command Prompt, you need to locate the drive where the Windows system is installed. Usually it is the C: drive, but in some cases, when you boot from external media, the system drive may become D: or another letter. Once confirmed, use the following command:

These commands first back up the original utilman.exe file to the root of the C drive (in case you need to restore it), and then replace the utilman.exe file with cmd.exe. After completing these steps, restart your computer and return to the login screen.

Step 3. At the login screen, click or press the Usability Center icon (usually in the lower-right corner of the screen). This will open a Command Prompt window instead of the Usability Center. In this Command Prompt window, you can enter the following command to reset Windows 11 forgotten password:

Although this method is very effective, it involves modifying system files, which may affect system security and stability. In addition, this method should be used when you have full access to the computer and data to avoid legal risks.

First, you need to log into an account that has administrative rights. If you do not have another account, you may need to use Safe Mode to access the built-in Administrator account. To do this, restart your computer and press Shift + F8 or F8 before Windows boots. Navigate to "Troubleshoot" > "Advanced options" > "Startup Settings" and then click "Restart." Once the options appear, select "Safe Mode with Command Prompt." This should log you into the built-in Administrator account if it is enabled.

Once logged into an account with administrative privileges or the built-in Administrator account, open the Command Prompt. You can do this by pressing Win + R, typing cmd, and then pressing Ctrl + Shift + Enter to open it with administrative privileges. Alternatively, you can search for cmd in the Start menu, right-click on Command Prompt, and select "Run as administrator."
