Although the computed variables in jamovi are already a useful tool for students and researchers alike, they are not yet complete. There are several areas where we intend to improve their functionality. These are:

Mit jamovi entfallen die SPSS-Lizenzkosten (ab 1290 $ / Jahr und Lizenz für das Basispaket) und es ist ein erster Schritt auf dem Weg zur Benutzung von R. jamovi versucht, in seiner Benutzeroberfläche SPSS relativ ähnlich zu sein, die Darstellung der Resultate ist übersichtlicher und transparenter und die Resultausgaben können problemlos (copy-and-paste, bei dem [meistens] die Formatierung beibehalten wird) in andre Programme (z.B. die Textverarbeitung) übertragen werden.

It seems that there are many users who have difficulty uninstalling programs like jamovi from their systems. Some experience issues during uninstallation, whereas other encounter problems after the program is removed.
When I tried to start jamovi from the console it threw out numerous python errors related to a missing "python-scipy". When I started jamovi from the menu (.desktop file), jamovi started but did not load any analyses. The tab was completely blank.
This tutorial will explain in step by step how you can install jamovi, a free and open source statistical analysis software, a user-friendly alternative to SPSS on Ubuntu. This is not to be confused with JASP, another free software for statistics, which we have already covered at Ubuntu Buzz. We use the OS version 22.04 "Jammy Jellyfish" and this should be sufficient for any later OS version as well. Let's install it.
