Now, I'm baffled. First of all, both file size seem too small to be real. Second, the "clean installer" label worries me specially that it's on the exe version. Does that mean the rar version is not clean? Why is it in exe format and not archived? Is the rar version portable?

UPDATE: Sadly, it seems that the installer below now ships with ads embedded within JDownloader itself as seen below. However there are no toolbars or standalone adware programs included. Given that reputable software clients like Evernote (with a free account) include ads within their UI, I still recommend this installer.

Sorry, had this adware BS two times on my machine because of JDownloader2, wanna use the tool, but i am to afraid to use those webinstallers, are those links to the installer really ad free ???
Dont need that crap a third time on my machine!

And here might be some hint. When I installed BIS 2012 using offline installer and didn't do update things were working properly (stopping JDownloader downloads = no bandwidth taken). But after doing the update they didn't
