Afghan president Hamid Karzai indicates that he is in favour of a handover
of secury to Afghan troops by 2013 instead of the orginally agreed upon
2014 risks losing much of what has been gained. Neither does Washington`s
stating that it plans to terminate its presence almost entirely by 2014 help
matters.
