Trees Need Watering During This Drought - Special actions are needed to protect our trees during the current record breaking drought. Michael Embesi, City of Austin Arborist, recommends immediately implementing the following guidelines:

While healthy trees may survive most droughts, other trees may be highly stressed or killed due to being newly planted, poorly maintained, weakened by insects, infected by diseases or impacted by construction. Use these watering guidelines to immediately define and launch your custom tree watering plan.
     State tree experts say it’s too soon to tell how many trees we may lose. Many have gone dormant for self-preservation, so it could be next spring before we know if they will make a comeback. Texas Forest Service has released a video and a packet to explain how
