Save on Waste Water Billing by Saving Water - The city determines your waste water billing rate for next year by monitoring your water consumption from mid November through mid March (see tinyurl.com/WasteSavings). Now would be an especially good time to start practicing smart consumption that will save you money and help us through the drought. Do you really need to be running your automatic irrigation system now? Irrigation audits to assess the effectiveness of your system are available free from the city. This could lead to free rebates for improvements. Rebates for low flow toilets, water conserving clothes washers, and rainwater harvesting are available from the city (see: tinyurl.com/WasterRebates).
