Greetings Learned Friends,

I am going through my bookshelves and have several books that belonged to my late husband that I would like to find a good home for soon. I think a number of them would appeal to many of you, and it’s probable you may have already read some of them. I will be happy to bring any to the Sunday gathering and/or Boyter U gathering. Just let me know if any title intrigues you.

Here are the titles:

The Untold History of the United States- Oliver Stone & Peter Kuznick
The Final Frontiersman - James Campbell
The Weather Makers - Tim Flannery
Einstein’s Universe: Gravity At Work and Play- A. See
A World Without Ice - Henry Pollack
The Last Hours of Ancient Sunlight - Thom Hartmann
Rebooting The American Dream - Thom Hartmann
Quantum Man - Lawrence M. Krauss
Aftershock: The Next Economy & America’s Future - Robert Reich
Climate Cover-Up: The Crusade to Deny Global Warming- James Hoggan
The Code Book: The Science of Secrecy From Ancient Egypt to Quantum Cryptography- Simon Singh
Moral Calculations: Game Theory, Logic, and Human Frailty - László Mérő
Finding Zero - Amir D. Accelerated
The Return of Depression Economics And the Crisis of 2008 - Paul Krugman
Western Philosophy: An Illustrated Guide - Ed. David Papineau

I hope you can help me make space on my bookshelves and give these books a good home. Thanks.

Take care,

Janet

Hi, Janet. I would happily take any or all of them! They all sound interesting! I still harbor hopes of one day opening a bookstore/Café/ice cream in OEC!

Hi Steve,

I will bring them all tomorrow and you may take what you like. I’m happy for them to go to a new home. I think you and my late husband, Brian, would have had a lot to talk about.
I love your idea about the bookstore/café/ice cream shop. Sounds lovely. I spent many happy times playing folk music in such places in my youth. I would gladly go to yours to read, knosh, and sip. As long as you also offered egg-free and nondairy or lactose-free dairy ice cream.  ;-)

Take care,

Janet

Wonderful - thank you, Janet!  Anyone else is of course welcome to any that they like.  And yes, plan to have such alternatives!
Steve
