I'd like to propose we
read "Democratic Socialism explained" by Levi D. Kavan [$0 kindle
unlimited $4.99 kindle to buy, $15 paperback]
Many Americans equate socialism and communism as equivalent evil economic systems. But many countries have socialistic governments (think Scandinavia) and the people are prosperous and happy. I know little about the details of modern socialism so I thought a book on the topic might be interesting.
Warning: This book is very recent (published at end of 2025) so has few reviews. But the first chapter is very readable and interesting. I don't know about the whole book. But mercifully the book is short - 228 pages.
