Although I could wish for a better-written book, this month's selection is fascinating and thought- provoking. Lots to discuss.
One minor item on p 231 really provoked my curiosity. If a girl gets pregnant do they still kick her outnof school, or can she stay?

According to an AI answer to "Do pregnant girls have to leave high school today?" -
No, pregnant girls do not have to leave high school; federal law (Title IX) protects their right to stay and participate in all school activities, and schools must provide reasonable accommodations, like excused absences for medical needs or breaks, and cannot force them into separate programs, though voluntary options must offer comparable education.
