Subject: Do You Know About These Friends Events?

Dear Janet,

The Friends has lots of exciting ways to celebrate and support your favorite library this spring.
As we approach April, National Library Week is April 19-26. National Library Week is an annual celebration highlighting the valuable role libraries, librarians, and library workers play in transforming lives and strengthening our communities

Friends fundraisers provide opportunities to gather with others who love our library and to have some fun while learning from interesting speakers, the library's fabulous book talk experts, and to raise a glass of cheer! Please join us.

April 21  Books N Brew at Oscar's Ale House in Woodstock
$40 donation
$25 raffle chances
6:30-8:30 pm

Great reads pair perfectly with great brews! Join us for Books N Brew, an evening of lively book talks from your librarians, followed by beer sampling from Oscar's 25 selections of local favorites. Discover your next must‑read, sip something new (2 complimentary beers included in your ticket), and enjoy a relaxed night of books, brews, and conversation!

We also have a great raffle prize. For a $25 donation by April 20, you could win the package of tickets to Toby's Dinner Theater and Ladew Gardens. We will draw the winner on April 21, but you don't need to be present to win the prize!

April 26 Backwater Books Tavern Talk
$30 donation
3:30-5:30 pm

Celebrating America250, this talk at Backwater Book's BiblioPub is sure to be fascinating.
A few local historical organizations will also have tables at Backwaters to tell you all about their missions and ways you can support local history work. Ticket includes one house beer or wine and tasty chacuterie snacks.

Thank you for being a Friend!

That COULD be fun, but I think they need to tell us more about just what kind of books will be discussed at the first event.
The second event sounds DIFFERENT and intriguing!  Anyone want to go with me? Janet, I MIGHT be willing to make you more comfortable by drinking that complimentary beer for you. 😸

PS I wonder why I did not get this email; thanks for forwarding it.
