| Hello Greenbridge Family & Friends! September 2025
I wanted to share with you some of the cool things we’ve been up to this Summer & give you the heads up on what’s happening this Autumn.
Folks who’ve been with us for decades are aware of our longterm relationship with Enterprise Community Partners, a charity created by James & Patty Rouse, (founders of the city of Columbia, MD) for whom we’ve made employee milestone awards for over 30 years. For the first time last year & again this year, we were commissioned to create specially inscribed gifts for retiring Enterprise Board members. Here are some in progress pix with the inscription, the organization’s logo (a House with rays of hope coming from it) , a design tape-resisted on the front in preparation for receiving the signature blue slip application & before bisque firing. |

| | Over the Summer, Evan & I spent several weeks at our vacation home in Blue Mountain Lake, NY, where we hosted friends & family (including Zach & Moss Rose, Nick Corso & family), enjoyed time in the water & on our old wooden boat. I even got to make a few pots in my studio there. I promised myself I will make more next year! |
| | | Zach & Moss Rose had a show of their personal work. Zach’s was inspired by the sculpture & painting of Cycladic, Minoan & Ancient Athens, created a series of vases, flatware & pitchers. Moss Rose’s muses were the African Desert Rain Frog & “the Sad Frog”, a famous Japanese woodblock print. Most recently Moss has added more small Kitten (Lina inspired) vases to her host of critters. And for those in need or want of more Frogs, rest assured there are more being made & hopping out of the kilns every week. |
| | Additionally, there are loads of other things in the shop, including Double Happiness & Gratitude Pottery. Now that our August vacation month is over, our OPEN HOURS have returned to the regular FRI, SAT & SUN from 11 - 5 EVERY WEEKEND ! |
| |
| In the shop now, we have quite a few Travel mugs, Compost jars, Pitchers, Flower vases, bell bowls for serving & berry bowls for summer fruits. |
| Thanks to the amazing popularity of Frogs, we are doing an increasing amount of packing & shipping these days! Please consider recycling your clean surplus bubble wrap & packing peanuts with us. When you prepare to bring them in, please sort each type of material in separate bags or boxes before you bring them in & either leave them inside the gallery door OR tucked in around or under the furniture on the Barn entry deck so they won’t blow away! . Thanks in advance! Your ecological thoughtfulness is much appreciated!
As always we are busy trying to restock the Gallery, especially in time for the Holidays. If you are contemplating a special order for the Holidays, please check in with us as early as possible because the deadline for accepting new orders & getting them done in time for Christmas is closing in fast! To all our Knitting & Weaving Friends & other Fiber folk, Wooly Festis right around the corner, both Saturday & Sunday, October 4th & 5th from 11 - 5 ! We are trying to gather a group of passionate volunteer knitters who might be willing to help beginning knitters get started with some modest little knitting kits we’ve made with chopsticks & surplus yarn we had. If you’d be willing to volunteer in the Knitting tent with Janet Medina who is spearheading the group, please let us know by calling or texting Becky @ 301-332-6914.Below are some of this year’s Wooly Fest Vendors. Please be sure to tell all your friends about this fun educational annual event and bring some of them with you! |
