I am sorry to hear about Michael's decision. I think he would made some really good contributions to SA.
I do appreciate that SA NYC board/organizers have politely and respectfully listened to my differing views, even when there was strong disagreement. I feel that SA NYC is open to differing views. In case anyone was wondering, probably no one was, I intend to stay involved with SA NYC as an organizer, even if on a few issues I am in a small minority.
Greg Epstein last night gave me a lot to think about (Michael D. thanks for setting that up). One point he made reaffirmed my decision-- was that even if you don't agree 100% with an organization (when does that ever happen???), if you mostly agree with the organization you stay supportive.
Again, I am thankful that folks at least respectfully heard me out, even if not persuaded to my views.
Don's email is on target, most of SA NYC will be what I--and I think Michael T, though I can't speak for him--envisioned after coming in contact with Sanderson's vision.
Hoping Michael T. will come to SA on Sundays and if he wishes, rejoin his involvement
Best Wishes, Scott
