Linux
Once you have downloaded the "tecplot360ex2018r1_linux64.sh" file from the PULS site move it to a tmp directory on the Linux machine you are installing it on. Once there run the installation script and accept the license agreement. For example:
Put in the target location you want tecplot installed at if the default it not what you want. Hit return. The script will then install tecplot to the target directory. The licensing depends on where your machine is located. **If your machine is going to be primarily located on campus then edit the file /tecplotlm.lic. At the bottom of the file replace:
Close the file and you should have a valid license to run tecplot. **If your machine is a laptop or home system then you need to set up off campus licensing. Skip below to the "Off campus licensing" section and follow the instructions.
This allows interactive selection of the input and outputfiles and options. The Accept button will then constructthe command line and run tecplot_to_cgns. If theimport is successfull, CGNSview will read and display the CGNSfile.
The pytecplot library is a high level API that connects your Python scriptto the power of the Tecplot 360 visualization engine. It offers lineplotting, 2D and 3D surface plots in a variety of formats, and 3D volumetricvisualization. Familiarity with Tecplot 360 and the Tecplot 360macro language is helpful, but not required.
This is the first release of a guaranteed-stable interface of PyTecplot.Following this, the API will adhere closely to the guidelines enumeratedby Semantic Versioning 2.0.0.
I am not an expert of compilation on linux systems and I struggle to understand why I get this error. For my understanding complex.h is called by TacsComplexStep.h and mathdef.h is called only as the last link of the chain.
Navigate to the license file (*.lic) in the Tecplot 360 installation directory (for example, on Windows, C:\Program Files\Tecplot\Tecplot 360 EX 2022 R1\tecplotlm.lic) and add a line similar to the following line:
