Hello Everyone:

As I recall I 'volunteered' to do the questions for this next meeting.

Actually, since our last discussion I have been thinking about one
question in particular. (This began with a conversation with Fred...
but never mind about that for the moment.)

The question goes something like this:

The interview in the current issue extolls the virtues of silence.
Moreover, in many (ok, most) contexts silence and solitude seem to go
hand-in-hand.

The assumption seems to be that both of the above (silence and
solitude) are good.

So... if you had the opportunity to be freed from your corporeal state
whereon you would exist - unfettered – in complete and permanent
silence and solitude, would you take the deal?

Why?

Why not?

Can you think of another name for this state?

(By the way, this isn't an idle question. Fred wants your answer...
soon.)

On another note, could I interest anyone in moving this Saturday
meeting to 10:00 instead of 11:00?
I am going to a function that requires me to get on the road at
11:00. If you can't – that's ok. I'll do an email outlining my
understanding of the logistics for the October 2nd trip.
