Google India Women in Engineering 2009

I would like to take the opportunity to congratulate Kurchi Shubhra Hazra (didi) for taking NIT Durgapur to a different altitutde after being awarded with one of the geekiest award in the field of Computer Science . She has been chosen as the Google India women in Engineering 2009 .
If some of you do not know about what it is then let me tell you that this award recognises deserving women students in computer science and related majors and inspires them to become active participants and leaders in creating technology.
Infact she is the only one representing an NIT in the list of the winners which is in itself something to feel proud of and boast of our Institute .
Didi please keep inspiring us like this and make us follow what you did .

We really deserve a treat from our President .

Kurchi,

Although, I have congratulated you in person, this particular effort
of mine is just to emphasize the last line that Abhishek "typed"...
Anyhow, I admit that you have been an inspiration not just for the
junior club members but for your batch-mates as well. Talk of
anything, you had the secret to achieve it. Really admire the kind of
perseverence and determination you have.

Last day, Aritra, Shankha and me sat together to discuss about you and
the very fact that it took us around one hour to divert from the topic
was evident of your dignified position that you have already occupied
for yourself (and the most amazing thing is- you yourself are
responsible for it, nobody else did it for you)...mind blowing and
amazing

I think its high time there should be a club party for celebrating one
year of its working and also to celebrate Kurchi Subhra Hazra....for
being who she is all about....
President ji, how about this piece of advice....

I know I'm going to be killed tomorrow when I go for classes. However,
I miss those days when after every techtalk we had a small treat in
the staff canteen.... sweet old days...
