Dear Polly,

While this is indeed good news, I am afraid that this notice may not be bonafide insofar as such notice can only be issued after clear demonstration of having obtained IOD/CC and all necessary approvals for commencement of redevelopment.

As of date, the builder still has to 

1. Obtain approvals for floors 11-14
2. Obtain clearance from Airport Traffic Control

I would like to place on record that while I will be co-operative in terms of vacating the flat as soon as possible, I would not be in a position to do so for at least 15 days after we have evidence that the entire set of approvals is in place.

I would also like to suggest that this is a good time to suggest some documentation of what will happen should redevelopment take more than 24 months from the mean date that the builder mentions in his letter.  This will go a long way towards protecting our rights given his abysmal track record in adhering to deadlines he has set himself.
