Meisei gets married

Juryo Meisei held his wedding ceremony today. 700 guests at the "Hotel in Tokyo". "It's a happy occasion. I was promoted earlier than Meisei  but he got married first," said Houshouryuu with a smile, congratulating him. Meisei and his wife 小夏 (Konatsu?? Citrus fruit?) got married in February last year after dating for about a year and a half. However, Houshouryu said, "I was surprised. I didn't know." He said he found out when the two of them came to visit Tatsunami Oyakata, to pay his respects. "He's an older brother who taught me so much since I joined the sumo world. I was also his tsukebito. He's like a 'big brother.' I want to give him a present that's different from everyone else's," he said with respect and affection. When pressed about when he thought he might get married, he laughed and evaded the question, saying, "Don't worry about me."
