Ex-Tochinoshin announced on his social media account that he will be opening a Georgian restaurant, "Georgian House". Fans expressed surprise, and also drew attention to his dramatic change in physique, with comments such as, "He's lost a lot of weight since he retired," and "He's gotten so slim." Furthermore, former Yokozuna Asashouryuu also congratulated him in a reply, saying, "Congratulations." Tochinoshin responded, "Thank you, Yokozuna. If you ever come to Japan, please come and visit us. We'll be waiting for you." During his active career, he boasted a massive frame, standing 192 cm tall and weighing 176 kg.
