Injury in Makushita

An accident occurred during a bout in Makushita. 18-year-old hope Yumenofuji ranked at  35W, was thrown down by yoritaoshi by Kiyota, falling headfirst off the dohyo. Unable to stand on his own, he was carried off on a stretcher to the sumo clinic inside the Ryogoku Kokugikan. Afterwards, he was carried out of the clinic on a stretcher, with AED pads attached to his upper body. He was then transported to a hospital by ambulance. Regarding Yumenofuji's condition, Tateyama Oyakata said, "He can move his hands and is able to converse with his Oyakata."
