Yoshinofuji won today despite losing both of his contact lenses during his bout. He faced Takanoshou and although the Gyoji initially gave him the win, a monoii was called, and the match was ruled a draw, resulting in a rematch. In the rematch, he was pushed back after his opponent got a deep left hand grip, but he decisively executed a kubinage from the right, saying it was a "spur of the moment" thing. In the first match, "both of my contact lenses fell out, and my vision was blurry." His eyesight was impaired, but he still managed to win the second bout. "Even in keiko, I can lose them in the first or second match, and by the end I can lose them both. I can hit with more force that way," he said, unfazed.
