Aonishiki is on the tour. He missed the entire summer tournament due to a left ankle injury and won the yusho in the Nagoya tournament despite injuring his left big toe. Regarding his return to the tour after a long break, he said, "It feels like the first time," and explained the condition of his left foot, "The fact that I'm here means it's doing okay." He did not step onto the dohyo, instead watching the rikishi practice from below. "I want to spend that time interacting with everyone," he said. It has been a week since the final day of the Nagoya tournament. Regarding his fatigue, he revealed, "I felt relieved, and then it hit me all at once." After the tournament, he said, "I went to Gero Onsen. It was my first time, and my body became smooth.. I feel younger," he joked. "I owe it all to the fans, so I hope we can spend a fun time together," he said, expressing his gratitude as he tours the country.
