Sekiwake Kotoshouhou  (Sadogatake) took part in a total of six bouts during keiko at his heya in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, on the 2nd with other rikishi who came for degeiko.  His powerful forward-moving sumo, with a left-hand grip, shone through, resulting in a record of 4-2. "I want to focus on my tachiai and the pressure I apply from there," he said. Last year at the Nagoya basho, he won his first yusho with a record of 13-2 and became the first champion at the new venue, IG Arena. Looking ahead to the first day of the tournament, he said, "I will improve my condition from now on," in preparation for a second consecutive Nagoya basho yusho..
