My name is David Thoene. I'm the president of Red Hawk Ridge Owner's Association, Inc.
Red Hawk Ridge is hosting a Veteran's Day celebration on November 11 in the common area next to our swimming pool. We had about 100 members at last year's celebration, and thought we'd step it up a little this year by inviting our neighbors at Herron Springs, Summit Ridge, Carriage Hill Ridge, Carriage Hill North, and Red Hawk HOA.
The celebration will start at noon and run through 3:00 p.m. We'll have five food trucks on hand, and we plan to pay for the lunch for any veterans who attend (we have sponsorships for this $900). We're inviting the Warhawk Museum's bagpipe band, and we're inviting Mayor Kling and Councilman Rodriguez to join us. We have confirmation from Victor Rodrigues, but no confirmation from the other two at this time.
We'll start the day with an invocation by Chaplain Colonel Curt Bowers (U.S. Army retired), who is one of our members, followed by some of the veterans from the different service branches telling short funny stories about their military experience. The remainder of the time is open for people to meet their neighbors and enjoy the food.
We'd love to have our neighbors and friends at Hunters Point join us. If you'd be kind enough to forward this invitation along to your members, we'd greatly appreciate it. We'd like to get this invitation out to all your members. I'm also copying Bennie Porraz on this email because he's the chair of our Social Committee.
Thanks much, Terry. We're looking forward to developing a closer relationship with our neighbors at Hunters Point.
