Hello, Summit Ridge Neighbors!
Spring is here, and summer is just around the corner and we couldn't be more excited for the season ahead! We have a lot of great things coming up for our community, so please bookmark our website at www.hoasummitridge.org and check the calendar regularly for updates, events, and announcements. There's always something new to look forward to!
Pool Opening — May 22
The pool officially opens on Friday, May 22.
Pool Hours: 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM
A few reminders before you dive in:
- No food (no exceptions) and no glass are permitted inside the fenced pool area. Please use the picnic tables outside the pool for all snacks and meals.
- Children 14 and under must have adult supervision at all times inside the pool area.
- Please take a moment to read the pool rules. They're there to keep everyone safe and happy.
- Our pool team is made up entirely of volunteers who work hard to keep things running smoothly. Please do your part by returning furniture and equipment to their original spots and closing umbrellas after use. It makes a big difference!
- We're always looking for pool volunteers! Your help in opening/closing and following up on the pool is appreciated. If you would like to help, please email summi...@idahoams.org or join us at our Committee meeting on May 17 at 6pm, at the pool.
Pool Opening Celebration — May 23
Come celebrate the start of pool season! Stella's Ice Cream will be on-site selling ice cream from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. A sweet way to kick off summer with your neighbors!
Movie Night — May 23
Movie Night is coming! All movies will be family friendly (PG or PG-13). You and your family can help choose the first movie of the season. Details to come soon, so keep an eye on the Summit Ridge blog.
Movie Nights will continue throughout the summer, along with other fun events like Food Trucks! Check the website calendar for dates as they're added.
Have an event idea or a neighborhood group you'd like to see on the calendar? Send an email to Idaho AMS at summi...@idahoams.org.
Community Garage Sale — May 30
Time to declutter, clean out, and cash in! Join your neighbors for the Summit Ridge Community Garage Sale on Saturday, May 30 from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Drive around the neighborhood and discover great deals on furniture, clothes, toys, home goods, and hidden treasures.
Participating sellers: please note that homeowners are responsible for their own signage and advertising.
Annual Meeting — Coming in June
Our Annual Meeting is scheduled for June. Candidate information and full details will be shared soon. If you plan to be out of town or unable to attend and vote in person, you will have the option to assign a proxy. More details on that process are coming, so stay tuned!
Catch Someone Doing Good!
Summit Ridge is full of neighbors who quietly make a difference. Maybe someone helped a fellow neighbor in need, organized something that brought people together, or simply went out of their way to make our community a better place. We want to hear about it!
Each month, we recognize one community member who deserves a little extra appreciation. Nominate someone today by visiting our website and clicking the nomination button. It only takes a moment, and it means a lot to those who are recognized.
A Friendly Safety Reminder
As the weather warms up and school lets out, our streets and sidewalks get a lot busier. Please slow down and pay extra attention to walkers, joggers, kids, animals and everyone enjoying the season on bikes, scooters, and other fun rides. And please remember to follow all applicable laws, including age restrictions for golf carts and motorbikes/motorcycles. Let's keep our neighborhood safe for everyone!
Save the Date: Summer Block Party — July 12
We're giving you a sneak peek at something big! Mark your calendars for our Summer Block Party on Saturday, July 12 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. We're planning a bounce house, yard games, a food truck, live music, and yes — a water fight! Full details are still being finalized and we'll share everything once confirmed, but you won't want to miss this one. See you there!
A heartfelt thank you to the volunteers and donors who make these events possible — none of this happens without you. Summit Ridge is a special place because of all of you, and we are so grateful to call this community home. We can't wait to share a wonderful summer together!
With gratitude,
The Summit Ridge HOA Board
