This code plug for the TYT MD-380 has the Medina and Akron repeaters set for a timeout to 180 sec vs the default 60 sec.
Make sure you update the radio name and ID.
I also changed the function of the side button 2 to Monitor.
Make whatever changes you want.
This is just a modified version of Ken's code plug.
Have Fun.

Hi Rick,

Great work, thank you. I think I'd like to keep the file server that Jason set up as our main repository, if that is still OK with him. So if you cold copy the file there as well I'd like to try and keep everything in one spot. We need to give the rest of the group the details about the server so everyone can access it.

I think I also may have some additional ideas about how best to setup the simplex stuff, more on that later after I try some things.

BTW, one of the Silver Creek guys who lives in Rittman tried putting the repeater on his MD-380 and he said that he couldn't hit the repeater from Rittman, just an FYI. I'm not sure if he could hear it or not, I'll need to ask him.

And one more item, I sent Tom an invite an received email back that he had invites disabled so we will need to have him request access on-line I guess.

Sure you are welcome to send the repository link to everyone. I don't think the link I sent out allows uploading however. It's hard for me to see whats going on completely, as I am on the private site of my firewall.  If it does not allow uploading using the web interface, I will look into a different approach on my server end.

Hi Jason, Ken and I worked on the repeater tonight, SWR went high from a bad adapter.

We figured out how to get the HTs to talk simplex.
A minor update to the code plug.  In the simplex 44x.xx groups or zones you need to add user name "simplex".
I will include my code plug soon and put it on Google groups.

Just a follow up to Rick's comment about simplex.

Apparently there is a "standardized" Simplex talkgroup with a TG number of 99. It was already in the "Digital Contacts" section of the code plug, something I overlooked.

In my Simplex channels I had the "Contact Name" set to "None", changing the "Contact Name" in the Simplex channels to "Simplex"
solves the problem because now all the radios have a TG to use. You don't need to touch the "Simplex" information in the "Zone Information"
section because we didn't change anything other than adding the correct Contact Name (i.e. TG) in the Simplex Channels.

However, this brings up an interesting thought. If you wanted to have a Private chat with someone simplex then you could add four more simplex channels that have the contact set to "None" for each channel and then you could do like we were doing before and direct call the person that you wanted to speak with. Doing this would make it so that only you and that person would be "linked" and be able to chat with each other. I believe that by linking in this way no one would hear you because you are linked directly and not using a TG and you wouldn't be bothered by someone else using the Simplex TG channels because you wouldn't be in the Simplex TG. We will need to play with this a little at lunch on Friday, I'm curious if my logic is correct.

Ken
