Hello All!
In a very exciting and unexpected update we've made it to WAIS, and our Starlink is working! These updates will be shorts, but hopefully I can still sneak in a few fun photos.

The flight out was on an LC-130, a very cool skied versions of C-130s. The pilots were very nice and let Pete and I up to the cockpit! They even let him on the dash which he loved.

We're now at WAIS, we have our tents set up and are working on finding and digging out our equipment from last year. We cached a fair but of stuff here last year, and it was placed on berms which helps reduce the digging, but as you see there still is some digging to be done.

The weather today has been quite nice with full sun and 5F weather. Some people are walking around in T-shirts, but I am still keeping my jacket on, at least for now.

Monday would be the next expected flight for us here, with over 20 people on it! That flight will have the rest of our science team on it, so we are eager for them to join. Unfortunately the weather forecast is quite poor for Monday, a full blown storm is supposed to come in. that will make things interesting here just walking around, and make any flights all but impossible.

We'll be keeping our fingers crossed for good weather, and hopefully starlink will continue to work for more updates later this season!

Sending my best,
Paul
