HI Matt, Luke, Max, and Christie,
It's Saturday on this spectacular weekend -- and I'm sitting in the Elbow one last time, packing up. I've decided to head home with John tomorrow. Max and I will be wrapping up our projects over the coming week, but it's just as easy to do that from home as from here. And without you all, it would just be too quiet and too sad.
One last time I just want to thank you all for your wackiness, your intelligence, and your generosity of spirit in creating such a hive of creativity and comfort here. It was one of, maybe the most fun and most generative working environment I've ever experienced. I was feeling a little blue, thinking I'd never see it's likes again, then I realized the task before me now is to try to recreate this setting wherever I go next. A tall order, and without you all, probably impossible -- but you've all taught me so much, I figure it's worth a shot.
I don't want to get all valedictory here, as this is not good-bye, but just a "see you again soon." You always have a home in NYC, and a home in my heart.
