Please ignore the source of this material (or at least, don't ask me why I'm on the site):

haha how about instead of looking at what other ppl say are the greatest books, let me ask, what would YOU put on your top 10 (or top 50, 100... w/e) list? what are some of your favorite books?

(i have about 6 books on my shelf waiting to be read and yet i'm still asking for more suggestions)

Well, Lolita would definitely be on my top 10. The Great Gatsby, too, for sure.
I'm re-reading Persepolis right now. What a joy.

lolita would definitely be in my top 10 as well. i was never a huge fan of the great gatsby though...

i'm in the middle of the ishiguro book, "never let me go"...its a great book, with a lot of mysteries going on. It actually tempted me to flip to the end and read ahead, just to see what would happen.

btw sadia, what more was it that you had wanted to talk about regarding lahiri's book?
