Thursday I really felt like death still....
I called my doctor, or actually the nurse to check on the lab to see
if anything had showed up. Nothing still. I asked if I could see a
specialist, she said that would require a referral and my doctor was
out for the afternoon. I called into Seattle where specialist were in,
but they said that it would take 2.5 months to get me an appointment.
I said "Well I guess if I am still having diarrhea by then I'll be
dead so they can't be of much help". I was deflated.
Thursday afternoon my aunt called me and said that Swedish nearby had
Drs of Internal Medicine that were taking new patients. I called at
3:45 and asked if I could get into see the doctor that afternoon. They
said yes, I showered and ran down there at 4:30. The doctor was
competent, asked great questions, seemed to care like she wanted to
get to the bottom of what I had. She wanted to do an x-ray of my
intestines to ensure there were no blockages or anything problematic.

She really felt like it was Giardia

She prescribed me antibiotics and said I should feel a difference in
24-48 hours and back to normal by Monday/Tuesday.
We had planned an anniversary trip to the San Juans for Friday a
couple of months of go and my wife's niece flew in Thursday evening to
watch the kids. So with medicine in hand we headed out to the Islands
on Friday. I was still very weak, but my wife drove and we took it
easy relaxing and reading. By Saturday I was felt much much better and
by that evening I was hungry for a steak. Sunday I was about 75% and
this morning for the first time in over two weeks I went for a run and
felt a little weak but good. Photos of the San Juans :
