The Bailey Range is off for this year.
Two reasons.
1) SNOW. We have had tons of it this year, and last week in July is
gonna be too early. We had 2 feet of new snow in the mountains 2
weekends ago.
2) Some of you may or may not have heard but I have a new "job" in
Church. This requires me spend more time with the young men, so I'll
be spending the first half of the week supporting them on the first
half of their 50 miler :

So my proposal is a 4 day hike, Wednesday through Saturday July 23 - 26th
From Cooper Lake in Salmon La Sac to Cathedral Rock trailhead futher
up the Salmon La Sac. In the processing summiting Mt. Daniel
(non-technical scramble).
I would leave with the Scouts Monday morning and arrive at Waptus Lake
Wednesday afternoon, there maybe a few spaces if anyone wants to join
me on this, we'll be spending Monday night at hot springs!
My proposal is for the rest of the gang that want to attend hike on
Wednesday and meet me at Waptus Lake. From there up to Spade Lake
(one of the most remove Alpine Lakes), then up to Venus and Mt.
Daniel. It'll be beautiful scenery. Scott and Joe you'll only the
first day will be territory you've already seen.
