Ok so I am looking at Necklace Valley to Tank Lakes to ridge of Hinman
and then up over Daniel.

You will need an ice ax. I have one extra that I can bring for Josh.
Can others either buy or rent? I can also swing by REI in Issaquah and
rent some Tuesday if folks would like.

Cheers

Mark - if you'd rent one for me, I'll buy your cheeseburger at trip end.
I don't want to carry one on the plane. Thx.

No rentals available here in Boise. Hate to buy one for one trip.
Absolutely necessary?

So I ended up talking to a guy over the weekend who spent a lot of
time up in the area and he said that he wouldn't take one personally,
but he would definitely have poles. I have 3 ice axes, and I'll see if
I can scrounge up another 2 just a as a precaution, but I think we
should be ok.

Cheers

I have poles. Brian does not. Could rent those however if needed.
Thanks Mark. Touched base with Josh. We are good to go. Scott informs
me he is cooking in his own group, so we are all set to go.

I was able to borrow two additional ice axes from a guy in the stake.
I'll pick them up tonight.

Wow. Those are some amazing pictures.

I wish all of you a great trip, but it is with regret that I'm going
to miss this year's trip. I went for my first hike in quite a while
yesterday, and unfortunately cycling muscles don't translate well into
hiking ones. :| So, if anyone wants to go ride up something let me
know and otherwise I'll look forward to pictures from the trip. Catch
you next year...

Eddie
