to Summer SAD
I just got back from seeing the new film "Knocked Up"--I really loved
it! At the end, when the credits are rolling, there is the best Summer
SAD song ever. It's called "Gray in LA" by Loudon Wainwright III. A
snippet of lyrics (yes! there is a reason I type 90 wpm! I just typed
bits of the first part):

When it's gray in LA
I sure like it that way
Cause there is way too much sunshine round here
I don't know about you I get so sick of blue skies ...they always
appear
I sure love the sound of the rain pouring down
On my carport roof made of tin
If there is a flood there there's gonna be mudslides we all have to
pay for our sins

.......

When it's gray in LA it's much better that way
It reminds you that this towns so cruel
It might feel like fun when you're sportin sunglassses
But really you're just one more fool..
We're stuck in this Sigalert nightmare it seems
See temperatures rise, those constant blue skies....

Etc.

Just listen to it!
