Hey everyone!

This December, I am helping to lead a youth delegation to the UN Climate Negotiations in Copenhagen through the Sierra Student Coalition. Over the next few months, we will be working to mobilize support all over the country to put pressure on the US to enact strong, effective climate policy on the national and international level. Please take 30 seconds to fill out this petition and pass this on to everyone you know!!!

Thanks so much!

Ethan

Countdown to Copenhagen Petition

PRESSURE OBAMA TO ACT ON CLIMATE CHANGE!

1. Congressional action is not strong enough. Young people
call on President Obama to lead in negotiating a strong
climate treaty at the UN climate talks in Copenhagen this December

2. U.S. leadership and participation is essential in
reaching a global deal

3. The U.S. must agree to scientifically‐sound emissions
reductions targets: 45% below 1990 levels by 2020,
and 95% below 1990 levels by 2050

4. The survival of this generation and the world’s most
vulnerable nations is not negotiable. A climate treaty must
protect all peoples and all nations.

5. The December climate talks are the opportunity of a generation,
and young people urge you to usher in a new, green economy.
