Create a Flickr Style Slideshow Module

The current slideshow displays photos quite nicely. Flickr takes
slideshows several steps further with a Flash-based slideshow that
provides thumbnail navigation, fade transitions between images, and
slideshow controllers that minimizes smoothly. The addition of admin
tools to rotate and manipulate images when viewed in the slideshow
would be an incredible addition (ala iPhoto).
Suggested technologies / alternatives: XHTML AJAX / OpenLaszlo / Adobe
Flex.
Deliverable: New G2 module with a full featured flash slideshow

------------------------------------------------------

I would like to integrate some pretty ajax slideshow or
combine the most wanted and intuitive control features from more
slideshow.
To extend features of a slideshow i would use AJAX toolkits as
scriptaculous, mootools or moo.fx toolkit.

I made some little research to get best AJAX libraries, that are done.
Because it isn't important to build things from zero, but successfully
integrate and extend things with wanted features,
so i'll continue in someone's work and bring an effect of intuitive
navigation to gallery project.

My Inspirations are:

1.
Integration of such slideshow as http://minishowcase.frwrd.net
The idea is cool because of using buttons on foreground of a gallery,
and gallery stays in a shadow of slideshow.
The empty space you can see in demo could be used for other advanced
controlling as setting delay of image loading
or displaying additional info.

js: own library

2.
Other interesting feauture, that i want to implement you can see on
http://www.christofwagner.com
In Short description:
if you click on right part of a photo, next image is loaded,
if you click on left part of a photo, previous image is loaded

js: prototype + scriptaculous

3.
My next inspiration is http://smoothgallery.jondesign.net
It has similar navigation, but you can see arrows.

js: mootools + own library

4.
On http://slideshow.triptracker.net we can see nice navigation panel

js: own library

In the application that you submit with Google's application form,
please go into more detail of your envisioned solution.
Also, please include a tentative project schedule in your final
application.
