Gallery 2 to act as a photoblog

I have used gallery and strongly felt the need of having photoblog
capabilities
so I decided to apply for GSOC to do this project.
Photoblog is great idea among the available modules and having nice
idea to implement its functionality.

As mentioned at gallery idea page it would include:-

1. adding photographer profiles,
2. notify subscribed members of changes,
3. Navigation:
* provide Calendar for navigation each entity. (use of
categories and archives)
* provide Tags for each entity.
4. comment any topics , and with some of new features....
including a CMS module.

So I prefer to having this idea added in the gallery.
I am looking for some mentor.. and more discussion about this.

Thanks for comment...

I think the idea which is "Enable Gallery 2 to act as a photoblog" as
mentioned Gallery idea page, will contain some of features like
flickr.com photoblog. So
Last few days I was working with the Gallery and I hope to add more
Ajax features to the Gallery Photoblog and I'm sure it will give a
good feeling to users.

Here are few points I would like to work on during the SoC period.

1. Ability adding photographer profiles. This profiles will contain,
i. Contact information.
ii. Member location will be shown on google map.
iii. Include member's friend information with Thumbnail
photos.
iv. As well as contain member favorite album information
in visual manner.
2. Comments display in particular post. Give ability to add note to
particular place of image. (Adding note within an image will be used
AJAX).
3. View calendar which displaying posted dates. This ability can be
support to navigate to each album within months.
4. Implementing tags system to enhance searching photoblogs.
5. Creating a CMS for controlling these features.

These are few suggestions that can improve the photoblog module and
I'd be thrilled to have your input into these suggestions. Also I'd be
very grateful if you can prioritize these ideas so I can think of a
project scope suitable for SoC time period. But I'm hoping to work
with Gallery even after SoC period and implement all these features.
