Root & Rebound is looking for summer law clerks to help serve our San Bernardino and Fresno projects! As you may know Root & Rebound works to restore power and resources to the families and communities most harmed by mass incarceration through legal advocacy, public education, policy reform and litigation.
We are still seeking law student support for our
Fresno and
San Bernadino offices, which both focus on serving women, especially women of color, who have been impacted by mass incarceration and the war on drugs.
For students who are passionate about racial, gender, and social justice and the intersectionality of the criminal justice system with these issues, this is a great opportunity.
Our law clerks will be able to learn about the innovative area of reentry law, work on restoring justice to women and children in these unique geographic areas, and service clients in a multi-faceted approach. Areas of law include, but are not limited to, family law, dependency, record cleaning, public benefits, and employment. Law clerks also have the opportunity to work on policy matters and engage in know your rights community trainings.
Root & Rebound's summer program starts May 26, and requires a commitment of at least 10 weeks. If interested, please submit your cover letter, resume, and writing sample to
vgursahani@rootandrebound.org no later than Wednesday, May 20 and indicate in your cover letter whether you are interested in the Fresno or San Bernardino program. For more information, visit
