The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and Peking University (PKU) would like to announce their 2009 Beijing Summer School.

The Programme will take place from 10th -22nd August and will offer courses in Accounting and Finance, Management, Economics, International Relations, International Law and Media.

All courses include a Chinese and/or Asian dimension and are taught in English by internationally renowned specialists in their field. Applicants are therefore required to demonstrate proficiency in English, academic competence above senior school graduate level (e.g. A-level), and academic qualifications satisfying the prerequisites specified in individual courses.

The courses are based on the regular academic programmes of LSE and PKU, and are taught by LSE and PKU faculty. All courses are full time and consist of a total of 36 hours of lectures and 12 hours of classes over two weeks.

Applications for the LSE-PKU Summer School 2009 are now open. The application deadline is Friday 29 May 2009. Applicants applying before the Tuesday 31 March 2009 will receive a 10% discount of tuition fees for early application. There is an application fee of ÂŁ30/450 RMB and the total cost of the programme is ÂŁ900/10,000 RMB.

The programme is open to students and professionals from anywhere in the world and we are delighted to have been able to welcome participants representing 36 different nationalities in 2008 who could complement their academic education or professional training with our two-week intensive courses in Beijing.
